Almond Raspberry Shortbread Cake

I have made this cake two times now. It's really good, a little sweet and a little sour, form the raspberry jam. This time we only had a small piece each. I gave the rest to my friend Kim, she broke her foot and I thought she needed a treat. I guess my trademake is ( as Chuck says) always take one piece out so we can sample it to see if it's good. So we do.
