Chocolate Chip Blondies
I wanted to take something to a friends house tonight, but all I had was Chocolate Chips. I am not a big Chip fan. So I looked up reciepes using chocolate. Oh, one small thing, when I looked up Chocolate Desserts, guess what? My Name and recipe came up second from the top of the list. What ever...It was the Chocolate Vanilla Cake. I am doing something right. Right? I keep trying new things with this blog and I really don't know what I am putting out there, more than half the time. I came across this recipe from Taste of Home. So easy to make, I thought well should I? Ok I did, and to my suprise they are so good. Sometimes easy just works. Lots of brown sugar flavor, nice and soft and really good. I gotta say.

1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla just until blended. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to brown sugar mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Yield: 3 dozen.
