Easy Biscuits

These are the kind of Biscuits you can mix up in less than 15 minutes. Really. Just mix all together and cut out with a cutter or a glass and bake. It's, mix fold and cut. Easy and a nice change form toast for breakfast. I really just wanted the Biscuit not so much the egg. Just lots of butter and jam.
2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening. ( I use butter and shortening ) 1/2 and 1/2.
3/4 milk or buttermilk
Heat oven to 425 degrees
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in large bowl. Mix in shortening and butter with your fingers until it forms coarse crumbs.
Add milk and stir with a fork. Form dough into a ball and put on floured board. Folding it together 8 to 10 folds. You don't want to handle it to much. Pat dough out about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with a 2 inch cookie cutter or a glass dipped into flour. Place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet. It makes about 8 or 9 biscuits.
