Seasoned Meat and Jalapeño Crust Hand Pies

And that's my Meat Pie story.
This is a great little hand held Appetizer for your Holiday Party. Make ahead and freeze.
I know I have gone crazy with the little hand pies. So here I go again, but this time it's Meat Hand Pies. I used my Jalapeño crust and put just a tiny bit of seasoned ground beef and some cheese on top.
Jalapeño Crust
1 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter
1/4 cup ice cold water
1 whole Jalapeño seeded
Put flour, salt, Jalapeño and butter in food processor and blend for 8 seconds
Add the water and pulse until it all starts to come together, not into a ball, Just before that.
Put dough in plastic wrap and chill for an hour or so.
When chilled roll out onto a floured surface, and cut into the shapes of the pans or bowls you are going to use.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
1 1/2 cups cooked ground beef, mix in 2 Tablespoons of Taco Seasoning
1/2 cup of cheese Cheddar or Jack Cheese
1 egg mixed with 1 teaspoon of water, to brush on top of crust
Course Sea Salt for the top
Just a sprinkle of Chipotle Chili Pepper for the top
While I was cooking the ground beef I added the Taco Seasoning and about 1/4 cup of water, stir and let it evaporate. Place a spoonful of the ground beef on top of the the crust and sprinkle a tiny bit of the cheese. Put on the next piece of crust and press the edges down slightly. Press a fork around edges and bush with the egg wash, make a little slash on top for steam to escape and sprinkle with the Sea Salt and Chili Pepper.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown around edges.
Next up is the Apple Hand Pie. Stay tuned.
