Deby Hogue
Chocolate Pecan Loaf, Cake
Two kinds of chocolate, roasted pecans, sour cream and yogurt it's rich and decadent for a loaf cake and so easy to make. Not to fussy just slice and enjoy with a morning cup of coffee. We did.

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup yogurt
1 cup sugar or just a little less
4 Tablespoons of room temp. butter
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup or more of roasted pecans
handful of chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, spray and flour a loaf pan, I lined the bottom of mine with parchment paper.
Use a hand mixer on low speed, beat together the sour cream, yogurt, butter, sugar and vanilla in large bowl
Add the eggs one at a time mixing well between eggs. I count to 40 for each egg mixing.
Beat in the cocoa, milk, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix in flour by hand until smooth, batter will be thick, mix in the chocolate chips and some of the nuts.
Spoon the batter into prepared pan and scatter more pecans on top of cake.
Bake for 55-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Enjoy
